Regarding your story "Utah native sworn in as deputy 'drug czar"' (Dec. 27). Extraditing drug lords may feel good, but it only increases the long-term profit and violence of the illegal market. Prohibitionists have been making this mistake since the 1920s when they arrested bootleggers, but not drinkers. They know better but won't say so. This has been going on almost 100 years. Lincoln was wrong. It really is possible to fool all the people all the time.
