DRAPER — At least one man was shot following an all-night party that police say got out of control.

About 5:30 a.m. officers were called to a house near 12700 South and 300 East where neighbors say a loud party had been going on all night, said Draper Police Sgt. Gerry Allred. The party ended when a gunshot was heard inside the house followed shortly by several more outside the house, he said.

When officers arrived they, found an estimated 20 to 30 partygoers scattering in all directions. One person inside the house, one of the renters of the residence, was shot in the face. Allred said he was taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

As of 8 a.m. investigators weren't sure if there were additional victims. None had been found, but they noted that not many witnesses stuck around to talk to detectives.

Police have been called to the house before during the past month for similar loud parties. Investigators were looking Thursday into whether the incident was possibly gang-related, Allred said. Some drawings found inside the house indicated gang members might be involved, he said.

Detectives talked to three "persons of interest" Thursday, Allred said. None of the three was formally charged in relation to the morning shooting, but two were arrested on unrelated charges.

The names of the three people were not released Thursday, but Allred said all three were at the party and were involved in the altercation.
