Eagle Gate College in Murray has named a new president and dean for its career-focused education programming.
Janet Head has worked as the college group's Layton campus president, as well as the Salt Lake campus president, and was named Murray campus president last week. Head has more than seven years of leadership experience in higher education.
As academic dean of the college, Jana Colyar will continue helping the school turn out "job-ready candidates," she said. She has been working in education leadership and administration for more than 10 years.
"Our mission is to help committed students attain rewarding careers through student-centered training and education of the highest quality," Colyar said.
Earlier this year, Eagle Gate, which offers programs in health care, business, technology and criminal justice, announced the addition of a bachelor's degree in business administration. The school offers accelerated degree programs along with job placement services.
Both Head and Colyar have masters degrees in business administration and began their new duties Dec. 17. Classes are adjourned for the holiday but will resume Jan. 6.
