This is in response to the uninformed letter by Wendy Smith (Readers' Forum, Dec. 21), who feels that dividing the school districts is not the solution. The reason the people voted to divide the school districts is exactly the solution — so we have more control over the school district in our area, have smaller class sizes and offer both teachers and students better conditions.

The smaller school districts, such as Murray, have much more control over those problems. You can't control problems with a school district that has become too large to be effective.
