PROVO — The Utah County Health Department honored three employees—Afton Chipman, Kay Larsen and Patricia Noboa-Ruiz — on Thursday for their dedication and example during the last quarter.

Chipman is an accountant clerk in the Division of Substance Abuse, according to a statement issued by Utah County Health Department. She's described as a "calming, positive influence" and "a team player."

Larsen works as an office specialist in the Community Health/Nursing Division. Co-workers say she's resourceful and organized.

Noboa-Ruiz is an office specialist with the Utah County Women, Infants and Children program. According to the statement, she "knows how to keep her cool" in unpleasant circumstances.

Aside from the "glory and adoration of their co-workers," Utah County Health spokesman Lance Madigan said Chipman, Larsen and Noboa-Ruiz will each receive a $25 gift certificate to University Mall.
