I feel that the editorial cartoon concerning Roger Clemens (Dec. 18) was out of place. The man is accused — not proven guilty — of taking steroids. I find little value in George Mitchell's report. It took more than 18 months but did not confront each player named before he printed their names. Newspapers, magazines and TV have now condemned each player as guilty without a fair trial. Is this the American way? I agree that Major League Baseball needs to clean up its act, but the media has jumped on the Mitchell report as if it were the gospel. I have PMR and take a steroid (Prednisone) to handle the pain on a daily basis so I can perform my normal everyday activities. Am I considered a cheater?
