Three Utahns are among about 100 women nationwide named as finance vice chairwomen by GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to the "National Women for Mitt" fund-raising effort.
They are Lisa Eccles, president of the George and Delores Eccles Foundation; Sharlene Hawkes, a former Miss America and a partner in StoryRock; and Vicki Miller, wife of one of Romney's national finance co-chairmen, John Miller.
"Our National Women for Mitt organization is bringing together talented women leaders from across the country in support of our effort to change Washington," Romney said in a statement.
Grassroots groups of women fund-raisers have already been organized in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Hampshire and South Carolina, according to the Romney campaign.
The National Women for Mitt will be led by Nancy Heffner Donovan, president of a travel company in Ohio; Rep. Kay Granger, R-Texas; Melanie Sabelhaus, partner of a financial group in Maryland; and Meg Whitman, president and CEO of eBay.
