DURHAM, N.C. — DeMarcus Nelson scored 23 points and No. 6 Duke returned from a nine-day break for final exams with a 111-70 victory over Albany on Monday night.

Reserve Jon Scheyer added 18 points for the Blue Devils (10-0), who shot 60 percent and had five players score in double figures. They hit 15 of 26 3-pointers.

Duke improved to 10-0 for the sixth time in eight seasons, while Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 785th career victory to move within a game of tying Lefty Driesell for sixth on the all-time list.

Tim Ambrose scored a career-best 24 points for the Great Danes (5-5), who fell behind by double figures about 5 1/2 minutes in and trailed by 26 points at halftime.

(10) Marquette 80, IPFW 56: At Milwaukee, Dominic James had 17 points and six assists and Wesley Matthews added 15 points for Marquette. The Golden Eagles (8-1) were playing their second game in three nights after playing just two games the previous two weeks due to final exams. Jaraun Burrows had 13 points for IPFW (4-6), which trailed by 11 points at halftime.

(18) GONZAGA 77, N. COLORADO 57: At Spokane, Wash., freshman Austin Daye scored 18 points and Micah Downs added 17 for Gonzaga.

Downs hit a career-high five 3-pointers in 10 attempts as the Bulldogs (9-2) overcame a slow start to coast to an easy win. Steven Gray, playing for the first time this season after fracturing his wrist in an exhibition game, added 12 points and Jeremy Pargo had 10 points and eight assists for the Zags.

(22) MIAMI (FLA.) 89, STETSON 53: At Miami, Brian Asbury scored 18 points and No. 22 Miami, energized by its first Top 25 ranking in five years, beat Stetson.

Raymond Hicks had 15 points and James Dews added 14 for the Hurricanes (10-0), who opened the game with a 19-4 run. Asbury had nine points in the 6 1/2-minute burst.
