Lava Lake Certified Organic Lamb is taking holiday orders on its Web site, with 100 percent of the profits funding land conservation. The ranch, based in Hailey, Idaho, has won national awards for its range management and conservation practices. The lambs graze on 60,000 acres of certified organic range and pasture. The Beehive Chapter of the American Culinary Federation presented "Cookies and Ice" for Primary Children's Medical Center on Monday. Local chefs and culinary students at the Salt Lake Community College made cookies to decorate with the children, and chef Jeff DeJong made an ice sculpture while the children watched. In addition, the kids were presented with hand-crocheted scarves and hats.
