South Salt Lake police have arrested a man they believe acted as the gunman in a recent gas station aggravated robbery.
Sean Raymond Gonzales was arrested Friday and has been charged in 3rd District Court with first-degree felony aggravated robbery.
Police credit citizens' watchfulness for his capture. Several callers saw Gonzales' photograph in local television and newspaper stories and called police, identifying him.
The robbery occurred Dec. 10 at Phillips 66 Convenience Store, 315 E. 3900 South. Two men got away with cash.
Police have not arrested a man they believed helped Gonzales in the robbery. He has been described as a 5-foot, 10-inch tall Hispanic man weighing about 150 pounds.
Information that could help police solve the case should be given to Valley Emergency Communications Center at 840-4000.
