WEST JORDAN — Three people remained hospitalized Monday after their car collided with a train about 11:20 p.m. Sunday near 4600 West and New Bingham Highway (7800 South).

The driver of the car and his son were taken by ambulance to Pioneer Valley Hospital, and the driver's daughter was taken by helicopter to University Hospital. None of the injuries are life-threatening, said West Jordan Police Sgt. Greg Butler.

Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle may have failed to yield to the train, though the accident is still under investigation, Butler said. Police have not yet released the victims' names.
