My father — a Life Fellow of the American Psychiatrist Association — warned me over a decade ago. He said that the Republican Party has become the party of misinformation and "guile from across the aisle."

For years he talked about politicians saying one thing and doing another. Having George Bush present Mitt Romney at his speech gives us something to ponder. While George Bush Sr. was president, we went into debt at the rate of $1 million a minute.

This is still going on to this day. These people and their friends have enriched themselves on the backs of the working poor. Mitt sounded great, but what has he been doing now to help the working poor? Is his speech full of guile? Only time will tell. But by then it will be too late.
