BALTIMORE (AP) — Fire swept through a home early Thursday, killing a 12-year-old girl and critically injuring a 16-year-old boy, fire officials said.

The Baltimore Fire Department had not confirmed the victims' identities Thursday morning. The victims were believed to be brother and sister.

Two adults, believed to be their parents, also were injured, said Capt. Roman Clark, a fire department spokesman.

The fire broke out at the home in the city's Roland Park neighborhood around 4:15 a.m., Clark said. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames and smoke.
