Salt Lake County Sheriff's investigators continued looking Thursday for a man who robbed a Cottonwood Heights bank.
Just before closing Wednesday, a man walked into Brighton Bank, 7101 S. Highland Drive, waved a black handgun and ordered all employees to one area of the bank, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Paul Jaroscak. An employee then was ordered to fill a large plastic bag with money, he said.
After the man ran out of the bank, a dye pack placed in the bag exploded, causing the man to drop the bag and continue running, Jaroscak said.
Detectives were looking Thursday for a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5-foot-10, wearing dark clothing and a scarf or bandana over his face.
Anyone with information on the bank robbery can call the sheriff's office at 743-7000.
