Offense

BYU scores a season-high 48 points and is 7 of 7 inside the red zone. Harvey Unga and Fui Vakapuna combine to rush for 258 yards and four TDs. Max Hall contributes 19-of-26 passing for 227 yards and three scores.

GRADE A

Defense

The Cougars allow the Aztecs to go 4-for-4 inside the red zone and watch SDSU QB Kevin O'Connell convert 13-of-21 third downs and 2-of-3 fourth downs. But when the Cougars apply all-out pressure, they fluster O'Connell and stymie the Aztec offense. BYU holds SDSU to 68 yards rushing — all but 7 gained by O'Connell.

GRADE B

Special teams

C.J. Santiago's sole punt takes BYU bounces en route to 47 yards. Mitch Payne misses a PAT try, seems short on kickoffs and puts several others out of bounds. Also, Bryce Mahuika nearly coughs up the ball fielding a punt. The Cougars average 22 yards a kick return but hold SDSU to only 13 a return.

GRADE C

Overall

Offense carries the day for the Cougars, who post their second undefeated run through Mountain West competition, the clincher coming a week after an emotional rivalry victory. The Aztecs can't slow down the Cougar offense, so the best SDSU defense is having O'Connell and Co. out trying to match BYU's scoring.
