EASTON, Pa. (AP) —Intruders burst into a home early Thursday and shot a man and two women to death in a suspected "gangland hit," authorities said.

Neighbors reported gunfire shortly before 1 a.m. about a half-block from a middle school, Northampton County prosecutor John Morganelli said. Police found the bodies in a third-floor room, and all had been shot execution-style, he said.

"This is, in my view, a gangland hit," Morganelli said at a news conference. "I believe this happened very quickly. I think these actors came into this house knowing where their targets were, and did their business and left."
