Miscellaneous: Inducted into the Utah Broadcasters Hall of Fame in May 2000; toured Vietnam for one month in 1967 for KSL and made return visit in 1997; listed as one of America's Outstanding Young Men in 1977; served with many charitable and professional organizations, including the Society of Professional Journalists, Camp Kostopulos, United Cerebral Palsy Foundation; a cancer survivor, he also has served with the American Cancer Society, the Cottonwood Alta View Hospital Health Care Foundation and the Cancer Wellness House.
