Jordan High School will be honoring one of the state's best in Hal Hale this December.

The Beetdiggers will honor the Hale, who coached at Jordan for 31 years and spent 29 years as the head coach, at halftime of the Bingham vs. Jordan game on Wednesday, Dec. 19. The schools are planning a retro night with "throwback" uniforms, according to Jordan head coach Rob Geertsen.

Geertsen is asking any of Hale's former players or teammates to contact Geertsen at the school. Jordan High would like to get as many people involved in the event as possible. The ceremony to honor coach Hale will also commemorate the school's 100 year anniversary.

Anyone with information or interested in helping with the ceremony can contact coach Geertsen at Jordan High at 256-5500 or by e-mail at [email protected].
