FRESNO, Calif. — The Utah Grizzlies came back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game but could not overcome the Fresno Falcons falling 4-2 Sunday night.

Fresno opened up the scoring when Luke Curtin slid home a backhand on a partial breakaway at 7:05 in the first period. The Falcons gained a two-goal lead when Matt Quinn fired home a wrist shot from the right-wing circle

The Grizzlies then responded when Keith Johnson scored his fourth goal in two nights deflecting an Andy Sertich shot from the point. Tyler Haskins also received an assist on the play. The Grizzlies tied the game when Olivier Labelle scored his fourth of the season from the left wing side on a wrist shot. Scott Burt assisted on the play.

In the third period, Fresno took the lead back when Oren Eizenman scored on a tip-in to make it 3-2 and then followed that up with his second of the game to double the lead to 4-2 lead.

Michael Mole stopped 22-of-26 Fresno shots.

Utah completes its three-game road trip tonight in Fresno. Face-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Wednesday, Friday and Saturday hosting Stockton as they open a 10-game homestand. All home games start at 7:05 p.m.
