AMERICAN FORK — The Bank of American Fork is conducting the eighth annual Project Teddy Bear drive for abused, neglected and traumatized children.

All teddy bears collected between Monday and Dec. 19 at the bank's 11 branches will be presented at the Bank's American Fork Branch on Dec. 19 at 11:30 a.m. to the Family Support Center of Midvale and Family Support and Treatment Center of Orem.

The Family Support Center and The Family Support and Treatment Center provide services to children and their families to prevent and treat child abuse and to help cope with death or crisis. Officials say the stuffed animals aid in the healing process.

Last year, the bank received 2,931 bears, they hope to break the 3,000 mark this holiday season.

Community members interested in donating a Teddy bear or stuffed animal can do so at any of the bank's 11 branch locations during normal business hours through Dec. 19.
