Two people were injured in a mobile home fire in South Salt Lake late Saturday night.
The fire was reported about 10:30 p.m. at a home near 3100 South and 200 East. The cause of the fire was under investigation, but firefighters said the two managed to escape as the blaze destroyed the home.
"A car burned that was parked next to it, and part of the next door neighbor's trailer melted because of the heat," deputy South Salt Lake Fire Chief Kevin Bowman said.
The two people injured were taken by ambulance to University Hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.
