It was a record-setting day for Kevin Robinson and Leon Jackson III. Utah State only gained 272 total yards, but the Aggies took care of the ball (no turnovers) and scored touchdowns on two of their first four drives.
Utah State's defense picked off three Idaho passes, which helped make up for the fact that the Aggies gave up 428 yards. Idaho rushed for 237 yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Peter Caldwell made his only field-goal attempt from 36 yards but Utah State did not punt well (32.7 yards per punt) and the Aggies gave up an onside kick recovery. The return teams also didn't produce much.
Sure, it was a win against a bad Idaho team, but Utah State did go into the offseason with the momentum of a two-game winning streak, with both victories coming on the road. All phases played well enough to win.
