Residents, former residents and frequent visitors to Sugar House are invited to share stories before plans to redevelop parts of the area take root.

The stories, as well as photos and other memorabilia, will be included in a special history archive at Westminster College. Organizers, including Brolly Arts and the Hawthorne School of Kids Organized to Protect Our Environment, as well as the Utah Humanities Council, hope to carry on the spirit of Sugar House.

Local stories will be recorded and photos scanned to formally preserve the area's history.

Sharing will take place today at 1 p.m. at the Center for Civic Engagement at the college's Dolores Dore Eccles Health and Wellness Center on campus, located at 1840 S. 1300 East.
