A 15-year-old Missouri girl missing since Oct. 29 was found safe in the San Francisco area Thursday, according to officials with the Shawn Hornbeck Foundation, which was helping in the search for the girl.
Emily Graeber went missing after failing to get off a flight from Cincinnati in Salt Lake City. She was to travel from the Utah airport to a residential youth treatment facility in Syracuse.
Police and FBI agents later learned Graeber had stayed on the plane, which was en route to California.
Shawn Hornbeck Foundation Administrator Sheri Martin released few details about Graeber's rescue on Thursday but said the girl was found safe and healthy. She had been returned to her parents in Missouri by Thursday night.
