PROVO — A week after dispatching archrival Utah, the BYU women's volleyball team is preparing to host its final two home games of the season.

The Cougars entertain San Diego State tonight, then face No. 25 UNLV on Saturday. Both matches start at 7 and will be televised live on BYUTV.

Riding a five-match winning streak, BYU is 18-6 overall and 10-4 in the Mountain West Conference.

"We've worked hard throughout the season and especially in the month of November to be playing our best when it really matters," said BYU coach Jason Watson. "Our motto has always been to be good over time, which we have a chance to do this weekend."

A victory over nationally ranked UNLV (21-3 overall, 12-2 in the MWC) would enhance the Cougars' NCAA tournament resume.

The Rebels are in a first-place tie with Colorado State in the MWC standings and have won 10 straight matches. UNLV swept BYU earlier this season in Las Vegas.

San Diego State (12-13, 4-10) has dropped eight of its last nine matches.

Five seniors — Chelsea Goodman, Jenna Judkins, Erica Lott, Catherine Parker and Annie Pinegar — will be honored prior to Saturday's match.
