A man accused of beating a woman and stealing her purse near Temple Square was charged in 3rd District Court with second-degree felony aggravated robbery.

Travis Roger Tully, 29, of Salt Lake City allegedly attacked the woman while she was using an ATM at Key Bank on Friday. He hit her in the face several times and stole her purse, according to documents filed in court on Tuesday.

Tully then ran from the scene but was caught by security guards from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was arrested and is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail on $10,000 bail.
