PLAYER OF THE GAME

BRONSON KAUFUSI: Had a monster game racking up 10 total tackles, an interception returned for a touchdown, a pass break-up and 1 1/2 sacks.

PLAY OF THE GAME

With 2:41 remaining in the first quarter, and Mountain Crest's defense playing a pretty effective game thus far, Timpview quarterback Quinn Mecham connected with Mark Ercanbrack on a 57-yard touchdown pass to put the T-Birds ahead 14-0.

KEY CALL

As expected, Timpview put pressure on Mustang freshman QB Alex Kuresa all game and it paid off. Even though he completed 11-of-18 passes, Kuresa was sacked four times by Timpview and pounded several other times after he released the ball.

QUOTABLE

"We absolutely don't take anyone lightly. We just prepare, prepare, prepare. That's the bottom line." - Louis Wong, Timpview head coach
