ST. GEORGE — Police are investigating the death of a man found inside an apartment.

Officers were first notified when a friend hadn't heard from Patrick Miller, 30, in a few weeks and went to his home late Tuesday.

"He couldn't get any contact at the door, but did notice a foul odor," St. George Police Sgt. James Van Fleet said Thursday.

Officers got into the apartment and found Miller's body in a bedroom, Van Fleet said.

"It was obvious that he'd been dead for at least one to two weeks," he said.

Police said that, at this time, there does not appear to be anything suspicious about Miller's death, but his body was sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine the cause. Miller was a paraplegic who lived alone, police said.
