OREM — Orem police arrested a man for the 22nd time Monday night after they noticed that the man and his friends weren't wearing their seat belts.

The officer stopped the car for a traffic violation and began to ask the passengers' names when he noticed they were all without seat belts, said Orem Police Lt. Doug Edwards.

One of the passengers didn't have identification and gave police a false name.

However, the officer recognized the 28-year-old Spanish Fork man from one of his previous arrests over the past eight years and knew the name was false, Edwards said.

The man was booked into the Utah County Jail for false information to a police officer and six outstanding warrants, including possession of drugs with the intent to distribute and burglary.
