It's disturbing to me to read that new highways are being planned. I suggest that our bureaucrats read the book "Parkinson's Law." Search the Internet for an explanation of the law. I think the funds should be used to maintain our present highways and to lower the bus and TRAX tickets to $1. Many people will then travel by public transportation reducing pollution and saving fuel. Building new roads will cause more vehicle traffic to fill the void, resulting in increased pollution and fuel use. This will also eliminate destroying homes.
