RICH DEF. INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21: The Rebels earned win over the Lions in a semifinal match of the 1A State Tournament. Rebels' senior Libero Marsha Stacey led the squad's defense against a very tough ICS team.

The win placed Rich in the 1A state title game against second-ranked Panguitch, while the loss sent ICS to the third-place game against Monticello.

PANGUITCH DEF. MONTICELLO 25-14, 25-17, 25-14: The Bobcats swept the Buckaroos in a semifinal match of the 1A tournament.

The win meant the Bobcats faced the Rebels in the 1A championship match at 7 p.m. Friday. The loss sent Monticello to play for third place.

PANGUITCH DEF. RICH 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19: The Bobcats' first trip to the 1A championship match was a thriller as they pulled off the day's biggest upset with a win over Rich.

Hailey Orton led the team with 29 kills, while Kalani Norris added 13 kills.

The Rebels lost their first championship match in nine years. Rich was led by outside hitter Allie Eastman, who finished with 20 kills, while Torey Smith added 14 kills. Libero Marsha Stacey collected 22 digs.

INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN DEF. MONTICELLO 25-13, 25-22, 30-28: The Lions swept the Buckaroos to earn third place in the 1A state championship. The loss means Monticello is fourth place.

PIUTE DEF. DUGWAY 25-11, 25-13, 25-19: The T-birds swept the Mustangs to stay alive in the one-loss bracket. The win put Piute into the fith place game against Altamont later Friday.

ALTAMONT DEF. TINTIC 25-18, 25-21, 27-25: The Longhorns stayed alive in the one-loss bracket with a sweep of the Miners. The win placed Altamont vs. Piute for fith and seventh places.

PIUTE DEF. ALTAMONT 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-11: The T-birds earned a fifth-place finish with an exciting win over the Longhorns. Kandice Gleave led the team with 14 kills, while Amanda Bagley added seven kills and six blocks. Shelby Millett also earned seven kills and Krystyna Lamas finished with six kills.

SALT LAKE LUTHERAN DEF. MILFORD 25-16, 25-10, 20-25, 25-22: The Lynx stayed alive in the one-loss bracket with a win over Milford while the loss eliminated the Tigers. Salt Lake Lutheran moved on to play St. Joseph in the sixth-place match.

ST. JOSEPH DEF. CHRISTIAN HERITAGE 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-18: The Jayhawks earned the chance to play for sixth place with a win over the Crusaders. The loss eliminated Christian Heritage from the 1A tournament.

ST. JOSEPH DEF. SALT LAKE LUTHERAN 22-25, 25-18, 25-13, 28-26: The Jayhawks won a thriller to earn sixth place in the 1A tournament. They were led by senior setter Nikki Laure's 27 assists, 11 digs and six aces, while junior middle blocker Katie Wiechmann earned 12 kills and 18 digs.

The Lynx were led by senior middle blocker Patti Hicks, who finished with 18 kills. Heather Hoyer added 26 digs and nine kills in the loss.
