I love baseball. I used to listen to the Bees on the radio. My son was an ace pitcher in high school and college. I was thrilled with the huge comeback of the Red Sox to get into the World Series. However, I find today's games spoiled by the incessant chewing and endless spitting. The players and coaches look like chipmunks with their cheeks packed with seeds, bubble gum or tobacco. We don't accept this disgusting behavior anywhere else in society. Why do we let it tarnish America's beloved game?
