WEST VALLEY CITY — A teenage boy was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center Thursday evening after he fell and hit his head in the parking lot of Granger High School.

The 16-year-old had been hanging onto the side of a moving car when he fell. The car was being driven by a 17-year-old friend of the boy, said West Valley City Police Sgt. Bill Merritt.

The boy's skull may have been fractured, but he is expected to survive, Merritt said. The boy was confused following the accident and was bleeding from his ear.
