As the mother of a small-town reporter, I am astounded by the one-sided reporting of the mine collapse in Crandall Canyon. My daughter must follow certain guidelines, but apparently no one else has to follow these rules. Since when are speculation and innuendo news? Research may take time, but it prevents devastating repercussions.

The bashing of Bob Murray is a fine example. Just because he is abrasive doesn't mean he's evil.

We would like all of our mines to get back in operation and our hard-working miners get back to doing what they love to do. Nobody is ever concerned about what goes on here unless it is horrible. And then it is never reported accurately or fairly. I think I'll just get my news from the National Enquirer from now on. I trust them more.
