Eric Barney has been promoted at Zions Bank as a customer service manager in its West Valley office. He is responsible for daily branch operations, including hiring and counseling staff, keeping the branch in compliance with bank policies, and overall branch customer service. Barney brings four years of banking expertise to West Valley. He was previously a financial service representative in Zions Bank's Salt Lake North Region and also worked as a teller in the West Valley office. His education includes a degree from Utah State University.

Tony Yearego has joined Dutson Builders Inc., a Salt Lake-based commercial general contractor, as project manager. He is relocating to Utah from his home state of Michigan. His background includes serving as partner in a family-owned business.

Christiana Truitt Elieson has been hired by Big-D Construction as a proposal coordinator. She will compose resumes, edit information and respond to requests for proposals on the numerous jobs that Big-D pursues. Elieson has more than five years of experience in public relations and print journalism. She currently serves with the Utah Air National Guard as a public affairs specialist and previously has worked as a copy editor and page designer at a northern Utah daily newspaper.

Craig Hawker, a sales associate with the Garden Square office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has been elected treasurer of the Utah Association of Realtors. He also will serve as dean of the organization's Leadership UAR, a leadership-training course designed to help Realtors sharpen their leadership skills.

Chris Hansen has joined South Jordan-based Nifty Technologies as a senior Web applications developer. Hansen has more than 10 years of experience building business database solutions to the Web. He is the author of FX.php, a tool that helps FileMaker Pro developers to connect their databases to the Web, and a FileMaker Pro 8 Certified Developer.

Bryan Irving has joined Cambria Capital LLC as an investment account executive for Cambria's Salt Lake office. Cambria Capital LLC is a boutique investment banking and wealth management firm with offices in Los Angeles, Seattle and Salt Lake City.

Justin Pitts has been named regional sales manager for SME Steel, headquartered in West Jordan. Pitts, who has been with SME for five years, will cover the Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and Idaho territories.

Dion Jones and Jamie Whittier have been hired by Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based agency, Jones is the company's director of Internet marketing. Prior to joining Richter7, Jones worked as an online marketing manager and an affiliate marketing manager for two other companies. Jones also writes an affiliate marketing column for Practical Ecommerce Magazine and The Deseret Morning News. Whittier is the company's public relations account coordinator. A Utah State University graduate, Whittier started at Richter7 as a public relations intern.

John Jaicks has joined Lefavi Wealth Management as a vice president of financial planning. Jaicks has more than 24 years of experience within the investment community. Prior to his investment career in Utah, Jaicks spent 12 years on Wall Street working in international banking and investments.

Brent R. Baker, Brandon P. Kemble and Katherine Warren Lewis have joined Parsons Behle & Latimer at the firm's Salt Lake City office. Baker is of-counsel in the litigation department and concentrates his practice on corporate internal investigations and representing corporate and individual clients in white-collar regulatory enforcement and litigation matters in court, federal and state agencies. Before joining the firm, Baker was deputy general counsel at a Salt Lake City company. He has also formerly served as special counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission and as a special assistant U.S. Attorney. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah. Kemble is a member of the litigation department and concentrates his practice on commercial litigation. Lewis is a member of the firm's real estate, banking and finance department and concentrates her practice on real property and corporate transactions, including document preparation and title and survey review. Her education includes a degree from the University of Utah.

• Contract furniture dealer Henriksen/Butler has opened a showroom in St. George and appointed St. George native Mark Hendrickson as principal and general manager there. Hendrickson has been involved in the furniture industry for more than 23 years.

Steve Wood has joined Aribex, based in Orem, as director of operations. Wood will be responsible for managing the manufacturing, production control and engineering efforts of Aribex. He has 19 years of experience in manufacturing, including 10 years in medical manufacturing.

Suzanne Montelongo has been promoted to Syracuse branch mortgage loan officer for Barnes Banking Co. Montelongo has been with Barnes Bank for more than 30 years, most recently as the mortgage department loan processor in the Layton branch.

Kathryn H. S. Pett and Bart Simmons have joined the Salt Lake City office of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP. Pett has joined as a partner. A transportation lawyer, Pett is the former secretary and general counsel of the Utah Transit Authority. Pett will lead a new practice group, the Passenger Rail Infrastructure Group, devoted to helping clients with issues related to the development of infrastructure for intercity rail, regional commuter rail and light rail transit operations. Simmons will be of-counsel in the Public Finance Department. Simmons is the former senior corporate counsel at the Utah Transit Authority.

Ben Peterson has agreed to become the third member of the Board of Advisors. He is the founder and former chief executive officer of MingleMatch and has worked at a pair of other technology companies. His education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

Debbie Smith has joined Westcor Land Title Insurance Co.'s as Western agency sales representative. Joining the Denver regional office, Smith will cover the Colorado and Utah markets. Smith has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
