OREM — Orem library patrons can now enjoy two online genealogy resources free of charge.

Heritage Quest and Ancestry.com are available on Orem public library computers at 56 N. State and through the library's Web site with an Orem library card and PIN.

The library is also offering genealogical classes and workshops for interested researchers

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m., family history specialist Ben Beeson will present an introductory lesson on using online resources.

Those interested in attending should call 229-7175 to reserve a seat.

The next class on Monday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. will be taught by BYU family history professor Kory Meyerink, a highly regarded genealogist with specialities in German, Dutch and U.S. records.

He will talk about using online databases to trace family trees.

Several different classes continue into November. Those interested can visit www.oremlibrary.org for more information.
