FRANKFURT, Germany — The T-Mobile cycling team will skip the final two races of the season because of doping cases that resulted in the firing of two team members.

T-Mobile's anti-doping charter calls for the team to suspend racing if its riders fail drug tests.

"With this decision, we follow the spirit of the team ethical code," manager Bob Stapleton said Monday on the team's Web site.

Lorenzo Bernucci tested positive for a non-amphetamine appetite suppressant and was fired last month. Patrik Sinkewitz tested positive for elevated testosterone levels during training before the Tour of France in June. He was fired in August.

The team will miss the Paris-Tours on Sunday and the Giro di Lombardia on Oct. 20.
