Anthony Ryder, noted realist artist and teacher, will give a lecture Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Harold B. Lee Library auditorium on the Brigham Young University campus in Provo. The event is free and open to the public.
Ryder studied at the Art Students League of New York, the New York Academy of Art, and the cole Albert Defois in France with Ted Seth Jacobs. As a teacher, Ryder has became famous for his classes. His book, "The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing," is one of the quintessential study guides for students of figurative art. Ryder's paintings and drawings are found in private collections around the world.
