If your tomato plants have not frozen, pick the pink and large green ones before it freezes. Store them in a cool dry place. Use a discarded tomato or apple box with the dividers to keep the fruits from touching one another and spoiling. Bring them out as they start changing colors and let them continue ripening at room temperature.
Red Butte Garden is hosting a class on planting containers in the fall on Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon. The class, which is cosponsored with Lifelong Learning, is $55 for members and $58 for nonmembers.
