The reason the Congress has a lower approval rating than the president is so many chosen representatives either don't want to hear what their constituency has to say or — worse — they don't care. It's just a race to see who can spend the most taxpayer dollars before the gravy train ends.

A prime example is Sen. Orrin Hatch. He watched his Republican brethren get massacred in the last election because Republicans couldn't keep the strings on the taxpayers pocketbook like good conservatives are supposed to do.

Now he has the nerve to request $35 billion in extra funding for a program that is unconstitutional to begin with? Thanks, Orrin.
