PAYSON — Local high school marching bands did well in the recent Nebo Band Invitational at Payson High School, including American Fork,which swept the open class division.

American Fork took first place and garnered awards for outstanding musical performance, outstanding color guard, outstanding visual performance and outstanding percussion.

Lone Peak High School took third in that division.

In the small bands division, Division A, Lehi High School took first place along with the musical, visual and percussion awards. Timpangos High School took third place.

In the AA Division, Pleasant Grove took third place.

In the AAA Division, Orem took the outstanding color guard award while Payson took second place and Orem High School took third.

In the AAAA Division, Timpview took first place and won the outstanding color guard award.
