MESA, Ariz. (AP) — In a Sept. 21 story about a former Nazi concentration camp guard unmasked in Arizona, The Associated Press, relying on a U.S. Justice Department spokeswoman, erroneously reported that Martin Hartmann had once worked in a cantina and that his wife lied about where she was born. The spokeswoman, Jaclyn Lesch, now says those details referred to another case.

Hartmann, 88, was forced to return to Germany after his wartime past was discovered.
