All up-and-coming and would-be singers, songwriters, producers and musicians are invited to the Spring Music Workshop sponsored by the Faith Centered Music Association and the Media Music Division of the Brigham Young University School of Music.
The workshop will be held in Provo on Saturday in the Maeser Building Auditorium at BYU. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Keynote speaker will be Clive Romney, an award-winning arranger, producer and performer with more than 30 years in the music business. Other sessions include entertainment and music law, presented by Robert Reynolds and David Wardle of the Los Angeles firm Loeb & Loeb; choral-music publishing, Jerry Jackman of the Jackman Music Corporation; and a miniconcert and discussion by Sam Payne. Songwriters may also present a song for critique during the "refiner's-fire" session.
The workshop is free for all FCMA members and BYU music students, and $15 for guests and visitors. For more information or to register, contact Lori Frost in the BYU Music Media Department at 801-422-6396 or by e-mail at [email protected].
