COMMUNITY FIRST PROGRAM: Utah State director of athletics Bruce Van De Velde announced the beginning of the department's "Community First" program, an effort to reach out to area businesses, families and youth groups.
The program is designed to offer local businesses, families and service organizations for youths the opportunity to be a part of USU's athletic success in men's basketball. The program offers businesses six reserved season tickets at a reduced rate and an "A" flag to display at their businesses or homes on game day.
"The Community First program is a chance for the athletic department to give back to the people and businesses in the community and to thank them for their support of the university and the athletic department," Van De Velde said. "It is also a chance for the business to be more involved with us and to show pride in our community."
