Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center, (PARC) will recognize its highest achieving client/employees and the business community on Thursday, Oct. 1, 6 p.m., at its first-time evening reception and awards ceremony.
The evening reception, at 484 PARC Circle, is also an opportunity for the general public and employers to visit the new production facility.Joshua Packham, 25, will receive the Individual of the Year award. Despite a brain tumor and partial blindness, he's been employed at Wal-Mart for years, missing only three days of work.
Richard Jensen will be honored with PARC's Worker of the Year award. He's a five-year veteran with PARC's Government Services Contract, Scrap Metal Salvaging project.
Kathy Maxwell will receive the Employee of the Year award. Despite a visual disability, she's become a role model for the rest of her work crew with excellent attendance and attitude.
The evening's keynote speaker will be Phil Kosak, president and owner of Carolina Fine Snacks in North Carolina. The evening's events also will offer international food tasting.
