Four people were seriously injured in a car crash on U-201 Tuesday.

Karen Fisher was heading west on about 11600 West when she lost control of her Chevy Blazer and veered over the median, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Verdi White II said. Fisher may have gone into diabetic shock before the crash. Her vehicle hit a United Parcel Service truck in the eastbound lanes and crossed back over to westbound lanes.

The truck went back over the median and hit a Jeep and a truck heading east about 5:30 p.m., White said.

Paramedics transported one victim to LDS Hospital and another to University Hospital by medical helicopter. Both had serious to critical injuries, White said. The other two were taken by ambulance to Pioneer Valley Hospital with serious wounds.

The names and ages of the other victims were not available early Wednesday.
