Heeeerre's the money - $100,000 from Johnny Carson to help build an arts center in his hometown of Norfolk, Neb.
The former king of late-night talk shows sent his regards along with a check Monday."I hope the project turns out to be all you hope for," he wrote. "Best wishes, Johnny Carson."
Carson, the retired host of "The Tonight Show," has donated money to a number of projects over the years in Norfolk, a northeastern Nebraska community of about 21,500 people.
"I think we're going to frame this letter," said arts center board president Marilyn Mitchell.
