Singer Bobby Brown reported to the Broward County Jail to begin serving a five-day sentence for a drunken driving conviction.

Brown, husband of singer Whitney Houston, flew in from New Jersey and arrived at the jail Monday night with his brother and aunt. He mugged for television cameras before being led off in handcuffs.Brown was sentenced in January to five days in jail and 12 months of probation, during which he must undergo random drug testing.

Hollywood police said Brown, 31, was speeding when he lost control of a black Porsche leased to Houston. He suffered four broken ribs in the 1996 accident.

Authorities said Brown's blood-alcohol level was 0.22 percent, nearly three times the state's legal limit for drivers.
