"Connie" Constance Ethel Green Bennion passed away while serving her Heavenly Father, in the Dominican Republic with her Eternal companion, Dr. Jerald H. Bennion. On September 24, 1998, energetically fulfilling her missionary duties, she rested her head on her husband's shoulder and slipped peacefully away from mortality.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 19, 1932, to Clyde Constantine and Roxie Mae Creighton Green. During very difficult years, she was raised by her widowed mother; sister, Edna; brothers, Bud and Don; and her aunts and uncles. After graduation from high school, she worked as a secretary and a fashion model. At this time, she was introduced to the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized. While investigating the Church, she met Jerald H. Bennion, a medical student at the University of Maryland. They were married on July 15, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. Ten days later they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. As lifelong sweethearts, they raised four children; Craig, Lorill, Jeff, and Wendy.Connie was active in the LDS Church, serving as a teacher and leader in the Primary, Relief Society, and the Young Women's Organizations. She was an officer and president of the Salt Lake County Medical Auxiliary and an officer in the Utah State Medical Auxiliary. She helped develop and run a county wide child abuse prevention program.

Connie also taught and supported those in a teenage crisis shelter, and served as an officer in the PTA. However, she will be most remembered for her loving touch as a mother and grandmother. Her sparkling eyes and kind heart reached towards all she met.

She is survived by her husband, Jerald H. Bennion, of Salt Lake City, Utah; her children, their spouses and grandchildren; J. Craig and Sheree Bennion (Nathan, Daniel, Camille, David), of Farmington, Utah; Lorill and Kip Solomon (Jacob, Justin, Matthew, Rebecca, Anna), of Salt Lake City, Utah; Jeff and Marla Bennion (Isaac, Christopher, Joseph, Samuel), of Logan, Utah; Wendy and George Curtis (Stephen, Christine, Andrew, David), of Salt Lake City, Utah; her sister, Edna Green LeDonne; brothers, "Bud" Clyde Creighton Green, and Donald Allison Green; her aunts, Lula Creighton Baker, and Helen Green Sauer; her uncle, Shirley "Spunk" Creighton; her niece, Diana Francis LeDonne, all of Maryland; and many beloved in-laws and cherished friends.
