Acting city manager Andy Hall was named as the permanent city manager Monday for this growing south Utah County community.
Hall, who for the past two years has been Payson's community development director, replaces Keith Morey, who left earlier this month to join the office of Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, as chief of staff. When Morey resigned, Hall stepped in as acting city manager. As community development director, Hall oversaw construction in the city and ensured compliance with city zoning and building laws.
Now he will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal management of city hall and managing city employees. Hall was selected from a field of about 50 applicants.
